MY NAMES CONNOR HALL AND I’M A CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER.

I’m the owner of the ‘Connor Hall Fitness Personal Training and Transformation Studio.

I help any individual who’s wanting to achieve their desired fitness and lifestyle goals.

I offer over 5 years of experience been in the Fitness Industry. At knowing at such a young age of 17 I knew becoming a personal trainer was the career path I wanted to go down.

I always had a passion for Health and Fitness since young age through playing Football and competing in Boxing to a high standard.

At the age of 6 I started playing football and then at the age of 10 I started boxing with over a 4 year period I was competing in both of these sports. Through this I learn’t and experienced the discipline, knowledge and what it took to achieve your personal goals. I made so many friends and interacted with a variety of different people from different backgrounds and this gave me the ability to communicate, learn interaction skills and being able to work with and feeling comfortable with many different people and personalities.

I am an individual through hard work, passion, sacrifice, desire and producing outstanding results to my clients I’ve been able to whirlwind through my career to now been able to open my own Facility at just 22 years of age with the average Personal Trainer taking between (32-36) to achieve this goal.

To me I’m at my most happiest when I see progress both not just in my health and fitness business, but improving and developing as a person and helping my clients achieve their goals.

At the age of 14 my dad introduced me to a weight lifting/ body building. My Dad and boxing coach at the time thought it would be a great idea to introduce some weight training to help increase my performance in my boxing training. As I had a skinny frame my coach thought it would of been a great idea to incorporate some weight training into my training regime.

So when I was 14 my dad took me down to my local gym and this was where the passion for been in a gym environment really began. My dad used to train with me 4 days per week purely focusing on the compound fundamental lifts such as the Barbell Squat, Deadlift, Bench Press etc…

Been taught these movements properly from a young age gave me the foundations of my physique. I soon realised the more time I was spending in the gym the more I wanted to be in that working environment.

I saw the benefits of what the weight training sessions were giving me and how much impact it had on my performance in sports.

At the age of 17 I was still at sixth form doing my A-Levels but I knew once I finished them the career path I wanted to go down was been in the fitness industry and becoming a Personal Trainer.

In the summer of 2014 the owner of my local of my local gym offered me an apprenticeship working behind the reception, helping/dealing with customers and getting vital experience needed to grow and progress in my fitness career. This was full time but a long side this I was going through my Gym Instructing and Personal Training qualifications.

Then 6 months down the line I qualified as a level 2 Gym Instructor. This meant I could now run and lead the gym classes that my local gym provided. I started off running just 1-2 classes per week but as the weeks went on my confidence grew, I became a highly popular well respected figure with the members within the gym. My classes were getting more and more popular and higher in demand. I then went on to leading 8 classes per week consisting of HIIT Training, Boxing Training, Strongman Training, Functional Circuits and Strength and Conditioning Classes.

Along side of this I moved onto to doing my Level 3 Personal Training and Nutrition Advisor Qualifications in which 18 months time I passed both of these which meant I could start to create a brand and my own Personal Training Business.

Through becoming a popular figure and becoming a big personality in the gym I had a high interest in people wanting to work with me and my services. They knew I could provide them with the right tools to help them reach their desired fitness and lifestyle goals.

The members of the gym saw the passion, drive, enthusiasm and the ability I had to get the best out of each individual within a class environment. I was able to structure my classes around being tough and intense to ensure people saw the value I was giving to them but at the same time making it fun and enjoyable so they came back consistently on a regular basis which is a fundamental to achieving results and seeing constant progression. Therefore people thought working with me individually and on a more 1-2-1 personal level I could help them reach their full potential.

I soon realised that building a business isn’t easy and there was a lot more to a personal training business than just training people. I learn’t, studied, read books, listened to podcasts and through trial and error within a space of 6 months I had a fully booked up diary full of clients with no room to take on anymore. At this point I was also still running 8 gym classes a week and was also working on reception at the gym. However the issue was it was getting too much so in order for my business to progress and for me to grow as an individual I took the plunge to stop working for the gym and to go fully self employed at the age of 20.

This then allowed me more free time to keep expanding and growing my business and also meant I could also take on more 1-1 personal training clients.

Through the power of social media I set up a facebook and Instagram account to promote my business and to show people the results that I was getting for my clients and to show that I knew what I was talking about.

Through promoting my business on social media and referrals through word of mouth from my current existing clients I was then bringing clients in externally from all over as the demand for my services was growing rapidly and more and more people wanted to work with me. Therefore people would travel 20-30 miles away as they knew the value of what my service could provide to them and what positive impact I had on their lives.

I continued to do this for the next 2 years building my business and my reputation, but there was a problem! I was in the time for money trap. I was limited to only train a certain amount of people across my week. I wanted to reach out to more people and to grow my business and to take it to the next level.

So it was Christmas Eve night 2018. I was sat around thinking to myself, what can I do to grow my business?

How can I make more impact? What could I offer to reach out to more people?

Then I had a light bulb moment! I was frustrated seeing so many people around the gym, performing incorrect technique on exercises, not shown how to use certain machines and equipment, not having a structure or a plan in place to achieve their goals. Not having anyone to help them or give them advice as there was no one who they felt confident to approach and ask for help. Also for those who were paying a gym membership who were at the gym for a long time and seeing no change or results and stuck in a rut doing the same routines week in week out which would eventually lead to been de-motivated and therefore leaving the gym.

I Knew it was important to help people build their confidence and self- esteem and to build new friends and relationships. I also knew through working with my 1-2-1 personal training clients how important accountability was to help people stay on track towards their goals.

Furthermore after planning and considering all these different variables I put together a cost effective, high value, community building Group training Transformation Programme called “The Body Recomposition Transformation Course”.

After running 2 successful 8 Week Transformation Course’s throughout this year over 60 people signed up for the course with every individual achieving some outstanding results.

A long with my personal training business and my Body recomposition Transformation Course I decided to combine both of my business’s together under my own roof in my own studio to reach out and help transform more people’s lives.

Testimonials

  • I’ve always wanted a PT but never really found one I thought I’d like to work with or gel with. I first met Connor in one of his gym classes and it was the best class I’ve ever done. He was very friendly, welcoming, encouraging and it was obvious he had lots of passion for fitness and helping people.

He listens to your goals and helps you work towards them, understanding that one plan does not fit all. He is always on hand to help with any questions you have. He is very professional at tracking your progress and helping you set targets. He is an all round down to earth, decent guy and I would highly recommend him.

  • I would highly recommend Connor, enthusiastic and personable with great knowledge and passion for what he does. If you are either looking for a trainer, currently train with limited gains or trying to get fit but struggling with nutrition then speak with Connor.

There’s no shame in seeking help from someone who’s knowledgeable and the fact he actually cares separates him from the rest. It’s not just a job for him, its a way of life.

  • When I first started with Conner Hall I had stopped making progress by myself, but in the few short months Iv had sessions with him my body shape has improved dramatically.

He will push you beyond what you believe your limits to be and if you give Conner the 110% effort he asks for, you will notice and feel the results a lot sooner than you would expect.
